Lecture Series on Mythology by Richard Koepsel Richard Koepsel has been a student of The Rosicrucian Fellowship for just about 50 years (August 1963). His view of it all is "Freely have ye received, now freely give". Hercules fighting the Nemean lion, by Peter Paul Rubens. Myths of Heros Hero Myths Audio Series As aspirants to the Christian Mysteries we all want to grow and participate more completely and harmoniously in the work of the evolutionary creation. To do that we must improve our ability and capacity to serve. There is no better way to do that than though initiation. In initiation we understand the purpose and the evolutionary method of the creation while simultaneously purifying our soul nature and realizing our divine creative powers. In our fallen state we do not always directly see the path to initiation. Sometimes we become sad and discouraged. We need insight and inspiration. It is for this reason that hero (and heroine) myths were given to us. In following the quests and conquests of heros we are uplifted and encouraged to work forward. In these twenty-five talks the speaker tries to delve into hero myths and give them rebirth in terms of what we are trying to do in the modern mysteries. Hopefully the spirit and process of initiation is maintained and what we need to do to attain initiation is clearer.
